Stats Age: 9 years Breed: JRT Likes: other dogs and people, ok with dog savvy cats Dislikes: Being left on his own
This older boy Leo is around 9 years old, he is in foster, and is now looking for his forever home, this is what his fosterer says about him:
'This mature JRT is a dear chap. He is steady and mature and so far, not given to madcap crackerdog moments, we can only hope. He does seem a bit depressed still, but is happy to go out on regular short walks where he is a normal dog, curious and interested in everyone and everything. He is happy to meet other dogs and always wags in greeting. One dog told him off and he gave no aggressive response.
He has been fine with our cats for 2 1/2 weeks. One is pretty dogproof, the other turned and ran yesterday, so Leo ran after pdq. Fair enough! He isn't noisy, only barks when left alone in the house, he doesn't like to be left at all. But, he hasn't been destructive even though we left him free to roam. The longest time was one and a half hours and he had settled. He has been on several short car journeys, he isn't totally happy, but not sick and settled on an hour long trip.
He has a bed, though only uses it in the day. He likes his human bed and company. He is happiest when in physical contact with one of us or in central location so we can't sneak out. This week he had a health check and the snip. He has recovered really well and is a little more lively since. When visitors arrive, a single male is the preferred visitor, he is slightly wary of groups, but not aggressive.'
