Skye is a just over 2 year old French Bulldog
No other pets in the home for the girl please. Children to be 7+.
We are looking for an extra special home for this darling girl where she will be loved and cherished.
Skye came into our care underweight and had been passed from pillar to post.
We were waiting for her to gain some condition and weight before having her spay but little Skye was carrying a major surprise.
Our lovely vet discovered Skye was expecting puppies imminently so she was placed with one of the practice vet nurses to ensure she had a safe whelping.
Sadly this was not Sky's first lot of pups. Skye did a great job of delivering her pups ( N.B. we are not taking apps for these )
Skye will be ready for her next and last home in around 5/6 weeks.
This is what her foster mum has to say about her:
'Skye is the kindest, gentlest girl with the most beautiful heart and soul. She loves nothing more than quietly cuddling up next to you on the sofa with a rich tea biscuit.
I've never known a more genuinely lovely dog.
She enjoys getting out and about, she really enjoyed a recent trip out for Sunday lunch and was gentle when she met lots of people who wanted to fuss her.
She lay quietly under the table whilst we ate, patiently waiting for her roast beef once we'd finished.
Skye is happy to be left, she doesn't get anxious, just emotionally blackmails you with great puppy eyes as you leave.
She is mostly house trained but will sometimes have a wee on a puppy pad overnight. I haven't taken the puppy pad away however, so she may well hold on overnight as she does during the day.
She loves people and is very affectionate.
She loves cuddly toys and will often round them all up and cuddle up with them to sleep.
Skye largely ignores other dogs outside the house unless they invade her space and then she's reactive.
However, she is very reactive to other dogs in the house so definitely needs to be an only dog.
She's not overly energetic, she enjoys going for short walks and will turn around to go home when she decides she's gone far enough.
She loves having a run off the lead but again, these runs are short lived. She walks well on the lead and has great recall, she loves carrying her ball but if you throw it you have to retrieve it because she's doesn't waste any energy doing that! She travels really well in the car, although she will try to sit on your lap if she's not restrained.
I can hand on heart say that whoever gets to adopt her, will be incredibly lucky indeed.'
