Tilly is approximately five years old.
Tilly is a wonderful dog in the house, responds to commands such as sit, stay, down, off etc, does not guard her food, perfectly toilet trained, will ask to go out although she will bark when someone comes to the door. She loves playing with toys, enjoys enrichment games, wants a cuddle and will do anything to please. She has never once growled at her owner or shown any form of aggression. She is a delight. She loves other dogs and will happily play with them ONCE SHE GETS TO KNOW THEM. She likes to have a safe place that is hers and if she hears loud noises or feels unwell she’ll camp out there. She is very clever and mischievous and if there is an opportunity to escape for a roam around she will, she can open doors and she learns very quickly, trying every door, every day to check whether you’ve locked it.
BUT… Outside of the house on walks Tilly changes, she presents with anxiety and fear aggression, she will try to get to any other dog, person, bike, horse or any small furries to fight them. She is kept on the lead after biting a jogger who ran by.. so now Tilly has police voluntary agreement meaning she must be muzzled and kept on a lead at all times in public. What Tilly is doing is guarding her (already anxious) owner. Tilly needs a home with another dog ( after meet and greets) someone with a lot of confidence and the knowledge to help us help her.. is that you?
