Luna is an 8.5 yr old Lurcher
NO CHILDREN OR CATS IN THE HOME PLEASE
This dear girl is looking for a foster/forever home because sadly her much loved dad is now too poorly to take care of his girl.
This is what her dog walker has to say about her:
'My name is Luna, I’m looking for a new home where someone can love me and take me for nice walks please.
I’m quite a small lurcher, I’m funny and kooky so my dog walker says. She walks me every day with a group of my friends who I get on with very well and enjoy zoomies and letting off some steam. When I get home, I’m very quiet and curl up in my chair. I can be quite vocal when I go for my walk as it's so exciting. I only go out once a day so it’s a big thing for me.
I’d really prefer to be in an adult only home where we could just spend time together on the sofa or out on nice walks. I walk beautifully on a lead. My walker says I’m such a good girl.
I am not perfect though, sometimes I’m a little reactive on lead where paths are narrow and other dogs that aren’t my friends come too close, I really listen and try to be as good as possible though.
I’ve also got a mild prey drive with Collies and German Shepherds but my recall is so good I come back every time when called. Generally I only need my name called and it stops me in my tracks.
I’m quite protective of my dad and always have been. I nipped the food delivery man 2 years ago. I need to protect my dad from strange men and feel it’s my job to keep him safe. When I go out walking those men don’t bother me at all.
I’m happy to share a ball, treats and water and I don’t appear to have any guarding issues at all.
I’ve spent my whole life with my dad as he’s housebound so I really need someone at home, at least to start with until I can adapt to my new way of life. I’ve never been left but think with a little time and patience I will be absolutely fine.
I would be really happy to share a home with a polite dog that I can be friends with but I have absolutely no intention of sharing with a cat as I really don’t like them and may not be able to control myself.
I’m a sensitive soul who just wants a quiet kind loving home where I can curl up and feel safe, if anyone’s out there that would like to love me and spend time with me.'
