Update Sunday 16th April - Wilma has arrived in Cornwall. This gentle soul is in terrible condition, bites everywhere, masses of sores, her feet are so swollen and that skin tag is weeping. This is not an 'overnight' condition... this has been going on for some time...
Update Tuesday 18th April - Wilma..... confirmed dog bites many many of them. Definitely used as bait.... Our vet has said that she needs a few more days on antibiotics so we can see progress...he has done full bloods she will need operations but not until she has put on weight (she is 33kg and should be at least 40 plus) and her skin has calmed down and swellings gone. So continuing the drops and drugs and back to vets at the end of the week. On a personal note, she walked into the vets all waggy tailed and pleased to see everyone..... happy with being handled and examined and was good whilst bloods were taken from her neck... beautiful beautiful soul....
Update Weds 26th April - Wilma has put on weight and finished her antibiotics... her skin is still bad but it isn't mange / demodex.... so she is now on a course of steroids... she is a very waggy tailed and a happy soul, and I think her foster mum is a little smitten... her skin needs to be a lot better, and she needs to put on a little more weight before that horrid thing is removed from her leg, but we are one step closer to that...see pics below.
Update Tuesday 9th May - Wilma visited the vet today and because she has done so well, putting on weight, she is due to have the horrible skin tag removed and be spayed tomorrow. She also popped into the LCH Hub Shop in Redruth and made some new friends.
The Best News!!! - Wilma's lovely foster mum Heather has fallen for this gorgeous girl and is adopting her! Happy days Wilma, you deserve all the love in the world!
